How to Request a Home Visit
If possible please try to telephone reception before 11.30am if you require a home visit.
A doctor will phone you back as your problem may be possible to deal with by advice over the telephone. If a home visit is needed, then the doctor will determine whether a GP or Nurse Practitioner will come out to your home, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please bear in mind that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
