At Newton Place Surgery the doctors and nurses take pride in offering the highest standard of patient healthcare.We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations, physiotherapy, osteopathy and an anti-coagulant clinic.

Olympic Torch Route

The Olympic torch is set to pass through Faversham on the 19th July 2012 between 4.50 p.m and 5.30 p.m. Please be aware that if you book an appointment on that afternoon there may be traffic disruptions which will make it difficult for you to get to the practice in time for your appointment. Please allow extra time to your journey to allow for this.

Triage System

We are presently piloting a new system for our "same day" appointments.

If you feel you need to be seen by a doctor on the same day, please telephone the surgery and the receptionist will transfer you to our "on call" doctor for that day.  Should the "on call" doctor already be on the telephone, the receptionist will take your name and telephone number and ask the doctor to call you back.  You will be given an approximate indication of how long this will be.

This triage system means that you are able to talk to a doctor within a short time.  The doctor will give advice and, if necessary, an appropriate appointment time for you to be seen by a doctor that day.

We hope that this will ensure that more routine appointments are available but, more importantly,  will allay any fears or worries because patients will be able to speak to a doctor sooner.
